Smart temperature management.

DELTA® PCM (phase change material) is an innovative system with a high thermal storage capacity that provides pleasant passive temperature control in buildings.

A phase change material functions based on its ability to absorb or release energy during its phase change. When heat is applied to a PCM it alters its phase from solid to liquid upon reaching of its melting temperature. During this process the PCM absorbs energy (e.g. heat in the surrounding area), which helps to avoid further increases of the ambient temperature.

When the phase change is reversed (from liquid to solid), the stored heat gets released. The phase changes take place at a constant temperature. It is therefore possible to store and release large amounts of energy while the temperature of the material remains unchanged. Hence, temperature peaks and fluctuations in buildings can be significantly reduced by using phase change materials. DELTA® saves energy, creates comfort, protects property.
