UV-Resistant Water-Resistive Barrier for open joint cladding systems

Water-resistive barriers provide and essential part of moisture protection for building enclosures. Their water penetration resistance prevents liquid water that passes through the exterior cladding from migrating past the WRB. At the same time their vapor permeability allows any incidental moisture in the wall cavity to dry out.

An open joint cladding system requires the WRB to also provide long-term UV stability in order to ensure a sustainable building enclosure design.
