Intelligent temperature management.DELTA PCM is an innovative system with a high capacity for thermal storage that provides pleasant passive climate control within buildings.
The principle on which a PCM (phase change material) functions is based on fully exploiting its phase change. If heat is applied to a solid PCM, then upon reaching its melting temperature it alters its physical condition from solid to liquid. In the process, the material absorbs energy e.g. heat in the surrounding area, which is then no longer available to make the space any warmer. When the phase change is reversed, from liquid to solid, the stored heat is again released. The phase change takes place at a constant temperature. It is therefore possible to store large amounts of energy while the temperature remains unchanged, to even out fluctuating temperatures and to avoid peaks of heat. The result: The climate is appreciably improved in buildings such as portakabins and modular structures and temperatures are reduced by up to 6 degrees Celsius.
