Constantly setting new standards
with innovative developments.

Firmengeschichte Dörken GmbH & Co. KG There are very few companies in the field of composite construction laminates that have launched so many new trends in the course of their company history as Dörken GmbH & Co. KG.

1892

The parent company, Dörken GmbH & Co. KG, is founded.

1925

Dörken & Co. GmbH is established. It produces roofing insulation membranes for railway carriages, becoming the basis for the company’s later involvement in composite construction laminates.

1961

Dörken begins to produce mesh-reinforced composite laminates. The DELTA-FOL SPF tensioned sub-membrane begins its sharp climb to European success.

1981

The DELTA-MS studded sheet membrane is launched. Within a few years, the chocolate brown systems for foundation wall protection and drainage become a company trademark.

1987

Delta-Purafol is launched and becomes the first diffusive tensioned sub-membrane on the market.

1995

Dörken opens a production facility for foundation wall protection, drainage and sealing systems in Beamsville, Canada.

Delta Maxx M, forerunner of the subsequent Delta Maxx and Delta Maxx Plus premium energy-saving membranes, is introduced onto the building materials market.

1997

The composite construction laminates division becomes certified for the first time to DIN EN IS0 9001.

Delta-Foxx, the physically highly durable pre-roofing and sheathing membrane, celebrates its premiere. Its own new production line is built for manufacturing the new material.

1998

The production site in Hagen-Vorhalle is opened. In the new, highly efficient processing plant, five different types of DELTA studded sheet membranes are run in a variety of different widths.

Delta Vent N and Delta Vent S, base products for underlay and sheathing membranes, are introduced.

2001

The new Delta Maxx underlay membrane and the energy-saving Delta Maxx Plus come onto the market. In the same year, Delta-Trela, a structured separating layer for metal coverings, is launched.

In the autumn, mass production begins on the new fleece spinning plant. It produces base materials for diffusive underlay membranes and at around 15 million euros is the company’s largest single investment to date.

2002

The composite construction laminate division is turned into a legally autonomous company and is now called: Dörken GmbH & Co. KG

New item in the product range this year is Delta-Foxx Plus, with an integrated self-adhesive trim.

2004

Dörken GmbH & Co. KG introduces a combined system of quality, safety at work and environmental management to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, DIN EN ISO 14001 and EMAS II (eco-audit).

Delta-Terraxx is premiered, a new protective and drainage membrane for perimeter insulation and all pressure-resistant subsurfaces.

Dörken introduces new methods of passive indoor climate control with PCMs (phase change materials).

2005

Delta-Geo Drain Quattro, the first 4-layer protection- and drainage layer membrane for thick coatings had been introduced to the market. All patent rights for this membrane are with Dörken.

2006

The "Maxx-family" has got a new born child. The "Thermomembrane Delta-Maxx-Titan" reduces the calorific value by 9% and reflects up to 50 % heat radiation.

2008
