Separation layers for metal coverings

Coverings made of zinc, aluminium or stainless steel have been preferred by planners in recent years since they offer attractive options for structuring large roof areas without changing the load-bearing structure. What significantly enhances the architecture of a building, however, requires additional attention from the planner with regard to the comfort of the residents and the damage-free construction.

All metal cover materials have in common that rain and hail may result in unpleasant drum noises. Another problem is the penetrating moisture or the condensation forming on the underside of the metal cover. Both must be drained off quickly and as completely as possible to prevent any corrosion. This is exactly where our structured separating layers come into play.

Which are the functions fulfilled by the separating layers?

The separation layers for ventilated and non-ventilated pitched roofs with metal covering have the main task of separating the metal from the substructure and thus protecting it from possible damaging influences from the substructure. On the other hand, they serve as a front coverage membrane in the metal roof.

Structured separating layers for every requirement

With us you will find structured separating layers for all requirements and framework conditions: with and without carrier web, as a self-adhesive variant or without integrated adhesive edges. All structured separating layers have something in common: They offer a secure protection against the moisture accumulation as well as against the corrosion on metal roofs.

Structured separating layers with a random fibre mat as the top layer such as DELTA®-TRELA PLUS offer numerous advantages in contrast to the separating layers which are not equipped with spacers. The textured mat prevents the moisture accumulation on the metal underside and, with a height of the knob structure of approximately 8 mm, it also ensures a continuous "ventilation". This way, this product offers the ideal corrosion protection for the metal roof.

At the same time, the metal covering rests on the elastic mat in a soft, springy manner. Any disturbing crackling noises caused by rain or hail are significantly attenuated. This ensures an increased living comfort.
