The schoolyard has become the new centre of the grammar school Gymnasium in Oberursel, in Germany. In this way, all entrances to the classrooms, the foyer of the auditorium, the sports hall and the specialist classes can be reached from there. The accessible skylights made of frosted and non-slip glass direct daylight into the underground sports hall. Conversely, in the evening hours, the light of the hall coming through the skylights provides an atmospheric lighting throughout the schoolyard.
